I wanted to ask Allen a gear question. Allen if you get this, I just got done watching your MI legato short video on You Tube and was wondering what pickups you have in that 59 historic Les Paul. I have a 2007 chambered standard and I am trying to find some pickups for it. It came with burstbucker pros and the neck pickup is muddy. I also find that bridge and neck pickups aren’t balanced to my ear. the neck pickup almost always sounds muddy with too much bass and output. Love hearing you play and enjoy watching your vids. I think Allen has mentioned he liked the tom holmes humbuckers, not sure if that’s what’s in the les paul, but his xotic had that at one time. Any pickup or guitar he plays sounds like Allen, no matter what. He’s on that very short list of guys you can recognize in a few notes.
