Allen,
I fulfilled one of my ambitions last night watching you play live.
Nothing thrills me more that mastery in action and last night was precisely that.
And you were kind enough to spend a little time chatting afterwards too.
In a couple of your songs tears welled up as your playing drove me to access my stuff. The last time that happened was when I was in the audience watching/listening to a Mozart Clarinet concerto in London many years ago. I hope you won't mind me telling you this because I imagine there can be no greater compliment to a musician capable of achieving such a response in an individual and I wanted to let you know.
I look forward very much indeed to the next LA gig I'm able to attend.
Take care, and thank you.
Graham.
absolutely beautiful. It's all good and you deserve to be heard.
You can sure play the guitar...really like The Good Fight, acoustic song is beautiful. Whatever you set out to do you did good. Nice man.
Allen, you’re a great player.
Cheers,
Robben Ford
I actually talk about you and your sound, and playing all the time. Mostly because I hear, or I am forced to hear - or give an opinion on, players who don't have a clue about many things and - SOUND & TOUCH are a huge part of those things that these players just don't get. And so, at some point in the conversation, I will always say - you should just go to YouTube and find stuff by Allen Hinds because he always has a beautiful sound - whether it's on a Start, a Tele, or a Les Paul - each one a bit different - but the sound is always superb.

This is killer! I love the Beatles -Zep vibe. It makes you less 'jazz guy' more 'rock guy' with a brain, which I dig. You have BOTH but I love the way you use that vocabulary + Bluesy.... love it. Killer composition! Cool guitar sounds on the breakdown.
You are an amazing player !!!!!! I thought you were gonna tear the neck off the guitar in the high shit in the solo. hahaha Loved it
